Madonna has sent some social media into a frenzy after making a post that may hint at a potential engagement to her rumored boyfriend Akeem Morris.
The “Queen of Pop,” 66, shared several photos alongside Morris, 28, in an Instagram post on Thursday, January 2. One of the photos shows the “Material Girl” singer sporting a giant diamond ring on her left ring finger, one that she confidently showed off to the camera while walking beside her man.
“Here’s to more Love- To happy children-to magical thinking-to good health and eternal blessings. I give thanks and praise To anyone being brave,- in this life and all the others,” Madonna added in the caption.
It didn’t take long for multi-time Grammy winner’s 19.8 million Instagram fans to rush to the comments to weigh in on the possible engagement.
“Wait a sec…are you engaged now?” asked one person in excitement.
“Yeeees queen,” wrote another.
Another person asked, “she’s engaged?!”
Madonna and Morris have never officially confirmed their romance to the public, but the popular singer and the former Jamaican soccer player have not shied away from posting photos with each other on social media. This past November, Morris dropped a photo on his Instagram with his arms wrapped around Madonna as she sat on his lap. The rumored couple even worked together on photoshoot for Madonna’s Paper Magazine cover in 2022.
Another post the two shared together was in August 2024, when Morris accompanied the iconic musician on a trip to Italy along with her six kids: Lourdes Leon, 27, Rocco Ritchie, 24, David Banda, 19, Mercy James, 18, and twins Stella and Estere, 12. It also appears that he celebrated this past Christmas and Hanukkah with his rumored girlfriend and her family.
Madonna was previously married to Oscar-winning actor Sean Penn and acclaimed filmmaker Guy Ritchie. She stated in a 2022 YouTube video that she had “regretted getting married, both times.”
