The Summer I Turned Pretty fans, we can rejoice because we finally have news on the long-awaited third and final season, coming a year and a half after the finale of season two.

That’s right, it has been confirmed that The Summer I Turned Pretty will return this year in July on Prime Video, but we’re going to have to wait a little longer for an exact release date because that information is firmly under wraps for now.

Prime Video made the announcement across their social media channels with a first look at Lola Tung as Belly in a stunning yellow gown against a beautiful backdrop of white hydrangeas.

Season two of The Summer I Turned Pretty left us on a heartbreaking cliffhanger (depending on whose team you’re on) as we saw Belly take a chance on Jeremiah as Conrad watches on from a distance.

Now, we’ll get to see the tumultuous final chapter take place this summer and see whether Belly commits to Jeremiah or if that lingering love for Conrad can overpower it.

Season three of The Summer I Turned Pretty will return to Prime Video in July 2025. An exact release date has not yet been announced.

Who is in The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3?

While IMDb does not yet confirm who will return for the third season, Lola Tung, Christopher Briney, and Gavin Casalegno were spotted on set in the fall and winter of 2023. Other cast members expected to return include Sean Kaufman, Jackie Chung, and Rain Spencer.

Whether season three of The Summer I Turned Pretty will stick to the plot of Jenny Han’s book, We’ll Always Have Summer, is up for debate as Han has previously expressed that she would be open to switching up the ending if it felt right for the show.

Lola Tung, Christopher Briney, Gavin Casalegno, and Jenny Han spoke with Teen Vogue in the fall of 2024 and revealed that plenty of “magical, fun” moments await us in season three.

“We’re just with [Belly] every step of the way and hopefully having empathy for her and empathy for ourselves in moments where we have acted less than perfectly,” Han told Teen Vogue. “I think it’s hard to see characters really like go through it or make these big mistakes and say those things that they really regret.”
