Washington freezing aid to Ukraine would be the best contribution it could make to ending the war in Ukraine, the Kremlin has said.
Spokesman Dmitry Peskov responded to reports that President Donald Trump had paused military assistance to Kyiv following his testy White House exchange with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky.
Peskov acknowledged that the U.S. reports about the arms pause have not been confirmed but with Washington the main donor weapons to Ukraine, such a move “will probably be the best contribution to peace,” according to state news agency Tass.
