Pokémon Day is finally here, with The Pokémon Company having just wrapped up its big, annual Pokémon Presents livestream to celebrate. Among a host of announcements about video games, one other exciting announcement was present — Pokémon Concierge season 2.

The Pokémon Company revealed that Pokémon Concierge season 2 would be released exclusively on Netflix later this year, with the new season set to be coming in September, although no specific date was announced. The news was actually let slip a couple of hours early by the official Facebook page for Pokémon in the Philippines, but confirmed during the presentation.

Not much was shown off in terms of the plot for Pokémon Concierge season 2, but it will at least see the return of the first season’s main cast, including main character Haru and her adorable Psyduck companion.

The first season of Pokémon Concierge was released on December 28, 2023, with four 15-20 minute episodes being released all at once on Netflix. It received near universal acclaim upon its release, with the show’s unique stop-motion animation style, clay and felt-like art style, and adorable characters all praised by critics and fans alike. Particular praise was directed at the series’ focus on day-to-day life, with Pokémon battles entirely absent from the show.

The show was a co-production between animation studio Dwarf Studios, Netflix Animation, and The Pokémon Company itself, all of whom have returned for the second season. New episodes for the show were first confirmed to be in production last February, news that was celebrated by Pokémon fans the world over.

So far no details about the second season’s episode count or runtime have been confirmed by either Netflix or The Pokémon Company, but more news about the show is expected to be announced in the coming months ahead of its release.

In the meantime, Pokémon fans can watch the entirety of Pokémon Concierge season 1 on YouTube for free for a limited time, with all four episodes available until March 7, 2025.
