A Turkish Airlines pilot, Captain Ilcehin Pehlivan, 59, died after becoming ill during his own flight from Seattle to Istanbul.
Pehlivan collapsed mid-air, prompting a second pilot and co-pilot to take over the controls, according to an airline spokesperson on X.
