San Luis last played Guadalajara, winning the match 1-0. Rodrigo Dourado scored the only goal of the match in stoppage time.

Tigres UANL drew Cruz Azul 1-1 last time out, with Nicolas Ibanez scoring on a penalty kick. The draw came despite Cruz Azul dominating in everything but the score sheet, with an 18-3 advantage in total shots. Tigres had the ball for just 28% of the match.

These teams last met in September. Tigres went a man down in the first half after a red card to Juan Brunetta but still managed a 1-0 after Fernando Gorriaran scored eight minutes into stoppage time.

Tigres finished the regular season with 34 points, winning 10 times while drawing four matches and losing three. San Luis wasn’t far behind, scoring 30 points on the year. The team won nine matches and drew three times while losing five contests.

Following this game, San Luis and Tigres UANL head to Estadio Universitario in San Nicolas de los Garza on Dec. 1 for the second leg of this matchup.
