Not only did they acquire one of the best players in the league, Luak Dončić, this past weekend, but they continued their hot streak of basketball on Tuesday night as they defeated their cross-town rivals, the Clippers, 122-97.

The Lakers played a complete game on both sides of the ball. Their offense couldn’t miss, firing on all cylinders, and their defense was a brick wall, allowing less than 100 points in three of their last five games.

The Lakers were up big by the end of the first quarter and did not look back. The Clippers made a push in the third quarter, but the Lakers didn’t let the lead get down by more than 13 points.

The game was in the refrigerator, and because of that, JJ Redick put in Lakers rookie guard Bronny James with six minutes left in the fourth quarter.

James appeared in his fourth consecutive game and recorded a field goal for the third consecutive game.

Bronny finished the game with three points on 1-for-1 shooting from beyond the arc, one assist, one steal, and one turnover. He also went 0-for-2 from the free-throw line.

Bronny made his first three-pointer of his NBA career.

Brony finished the game with more three-pointers made than James Harden, who went 0-for-5 from beyond the arc.

The Lakers played hard throughout the 48-minute game. The Clippers usually get up for this game against the Lakers, as they did a few weeks ago when they first met at the new state-of-the-art Intuit Dome.

However, it was the Lakers were played hard and almost a perfect game from both sides of the ball.

The Lakers improve to 29-19 on the season and a season-high 10 games above .500. L.A. sits as the fifth seed in the Western Conference, and while the win was great, Tuesday could’ve been the last time we see this team as currently constructed.

The trade deadline is Thursday at 3 p.m. ET, and the Lakers are expected to make a trade specifically for a big man. Although L.A. played great, if they want to be successful in the long run, they need a center who could complement LeBron James andDončić.
