U.S. District Judge Loren AliKhan, of Washington, D.C., is concerned that President Donald Trump’s administration is still implementing the spending freeze that she and a Rhode Island judge ordered temporarily halted last week.
The stay was to remain in effect at least until today at 5 p.m. EST.
According to a post on X, formerly Twitter, by Kyle Cheney, Politico’s senior legal affairs reporter, AliKhan said Monday that she is inclined to issue a temporary restraining order on the White House to block a federal funding freeze as some nonprofit groups have requested.
